Why game save??

I save all my progress after every few races. WHY?? What good is it?? My PS3 YLOD and I went to get it fixed and after getting it reflowed it still doesn't work. Said it is toast, worthless.

So here is my question, what do I do with my game saves where I am level 39 a-spec and 40 B-spec?? I got another PS3 and tired to copy to another user name and it won't let me. What do I do??
 
get another PS3, as you said, but use the same PSN account. that way the save files will work. This is also tried and tested.
 
Thanks guys, I panicked a little before I researched it. I was more than a little scared, I think I wee'd a little on myself there for a second. Losing level 39 Aspec and 40 Bspec was more than I could handle. Buying another PS3 is going to be bad enough.
