...is because in Sport Mode you want drivers to become clean and respectful. Good.

Now why is it, that GT League makes the worst example of how to do it? Here the AI does everything you get penalized for in Sport. They run at their own pace on their own line like on railway tracks. Will they crash into you? Yes. Will they take attention to you? No. Is it penalized to use that to your advantage? No, not at all. Just hit them whenever you can and use them as boundaries. Cool.

I guess many new players might check out GT League before competing online. What kind of example makes that for?!? I know we all wanted more single player content, but was THAT a wise decision regarding the overall game design?

GT League is more for people who don't use and have no interest in Sport Mode like myself. Yes the AI is all over the place but you can still attempt to race the AI clean. GT League doesn't help your driver rating or sportsmanship rating just gives you bonuses for racing clean so it does in a sense reward good behavior and good driving. So once you go to Sport Mode from GT League you realize you aren't as good as you thought and the only way to improve your driver rating and sportsmanship rating is to drive well and race as clean as possible. It's a learning curve. I don't think it's something to get too worked up about. It's not like you can race GT League and get an S rating and go to Sport Mode and be up against actual fast and respectful racers. You still have to earn your place in Sport Mode.
