I'm just asking this, why are only the Matt Black from the LFA and the Matte Black usually mentioned when talking about black matte paints. The Mat Black from the FT-86 Concept (not G Sports) is rarely mentioned. I just want to enlighten people about this. The FT-86 is 75k cheaper than the LFA.

Are they all the same?

I don't use it because of my OCD. I already can't stand "Matt" now "Mat". :boggled:
No thanks I'll stick to "Matte". :)

I don't think that you receive Mat black when you buy the car, that is why people don't bother with it.

I've only got 1 Matte Black and I don't remember getting it with a car.

I put black mats in all my cars. Seriously though....if the mattes are the same black it's a good find.

Exactly this. You can buy the car but you don't get the paint chip. It's not just with the Mat black, it's all the colors of that FT86 Toyota. I know this because I went through and bought one in every color.

the "matte black" chip is just the same as the "matt black" you get from the LFA right? just a typo? or are they actually two different things paint-wise?

They are actually 2 different paints.

They look almost exactly the same (Lexus maybe slightly darker)

And the one you get with the LFA is spelt 'matt'
