I need a device that allows me to have 2 powersources for one appliance so I can switch between them if I need to turn one off etc.

That's not why I made this though. I wanted you to post any thoughts or ideas you have of anything that you think needs inventing, that should have been done already. (That was one long, messy sentance)
 
How about:

Cars that get 100KM per litre of gas, that dont look like crap and that can match todays best performance cars?

Hover boards? (Back to the Future 👍 )

Clothes that never need to be ironed, yet remain perfectly straight?

An effective police force?
 
Please mike, spare the oximorons. I got bored and decided to make a Sydney Grand Prix track map. Its the longest most dangerous and dificult track in F1. It also has the most spectacular views.

Actually, there were no oxymorons in my post.

'Best estimate', 'deafening silence' and 'clearly confused' are all example's of oxymorons.
 
A locator for stuff you lose all the time.

It should be small, noisy and (waaay) remote controllable.

You stick it on keys, portable phones, and other stuff you lose all the effing time.
 
I want a machine that can take graphite and compress it into a diamond. Oh wait, they have those already.

I want a machine that can take metals, and convert it into gold. Oh wait, they have that too.

I want a plane that houses a giant laser that can target and destroy launched nuclear missles from the sky. Strike three, I'm out.

They already have that.

Some kinds you can clap and it makes noise, others you press a button, etc.
 
I can see this getting silly like the underwater hair dryer and the inflatable dartboard!
 
Here's mine.

Why don't car manufacturers include those convex mirrors on side rearviews? They show up on SUVs and large trucks, but sedans have blind spots too! I put one on my car and voila... no blind spot. Why do they not put them on small cars standard? The technology has already been invented!

Effective Policeforce... I was being synical.
Also, My car has a convex safety mirror on the side-mirrors, but its second hand so I don't know if they are stock or not. They're really good for parking. (I don't have a license so I park the car for my parents)

Go to Electronic Engineering school. You can easily make something to do this for you. . .
 
Dude, I know its easy but Im to lazy to make on myself. why dont they have one for sale at hardware stores? all the need is like a reverse double-adaptor and a 10 amp resistor so you don over-cook ur computer internals. I guess it'd get pretty hot though, anyhow. In fact would I even need the resistors? cos if I dont ill make one. (If you do I'll get round to it later/
 
Or a small portable raygun that shuts cobragt up.

As for me, I seriously want a claw that can just.. pick cars up and move them out of the way. I don't care about anything else. Just move the people on cell phones/ old people / new drivers / whoever else drives badly out of the way. :irked:
 
No, retroactive.

Retrospective would be a memory. Retroactive would be an action.
 
Some way to knock out wildfires instantly. I have no clue how, but I want it... I've had two bad dreams of wildfires near my house in the past week, and fire season officially starts tomorrow (when the fire department adds thousands of extra crews to their stations).

Oh, god, don't remind me. Now, I'll have those dreams/nightmares! It wasn't any fun the last time. :irked:
 
Hmm.. I've actually thought about how to knock out wild fires...

Can they not drop bombs (filled with extremely pressurized CO2) onto the fires? Once they do that it knock out alot of oxygen in the area... So the fire would at least be partially controlable..
 
jeez, no wonder i don't post in the rumble strip. does anything of any value get said here? or is it just the collection of insecure 14 year old ignoramuses it appears to be??
