Hi guys, my first post here although I occasionally do read these forums. Anyway. I have just lost all of my cars. I logged on to practice for the FIA races. The game didn't start properly though. I had to close that bloody Red Bull Hangar video for the 28th time this week, and when I did I went to home to get in a car because I apparently wasn't in one. The game crashed while loading up home. I gave it 5-8 minutes, nothing. I quit the game and started again. And now I have three cars. And I can't do the FIA races. Can someone help?

uninstall the game, then re install, let all the updates install then go to your library and install any DLC for the game. That 'should' give you most of the cars back........But!....You may still lose certain items

You using a different PS4 than you usually do?
If so, you have to download the the local saves from PSN. Old, or nonexistent save data will overwrite what is saved on GTS’ servers.

Long story short, if the above is applicable to you, you’re going to have to start from whatever the GTS server gives you.

Your game save file is corrupt, and no. Call your local Sony support branch and you might get some car tickets to rebuild your garage.

No, it was my PS4, that I use to play GTS every day. My PS4 hadn't been switched on since I last played about 8pm last night

Seriously?

From the posts on this forum, what @Famine says is correct but beware mixed results. From what I've read, the response varies between Sony providing car tickets to help you rebuild your garage and Sony telling you to contact PD and getting nowhere...

It hasn't happened to me yet...

Also, there is a thread on here telling you how to back up your saves in case of this happening. I don't think that always works but it's a good habit generally for games anyway. I'm adding my vote for that thread to be stickied, if that counts for anything .

It doesn't work at all. The save is server side. You can't back it up and you can't overwrite it with a local save.

you can't overwrite it with a local save.

I beg to differ, but on only my personal experience. Unless PD has updated the way it validates save data, an old save (on a different PS4- not primary) will overwrite your driver level, GT League, Circuit experience, driving school, mission challenge and your achievement stats.

I didn’t lose any cars. In fact quite the opposite.

Slight tangent, but I still think it is worth mentioning.
