I have training today at work =\. I couldn't sleep so I got out of bed at around one in the morning. I played GT5 for about an hour and deceided to jump on Black Ops. Mistake. I was in a hardcore server and held my own for the first round. Map changes and we all start out. I accidentally shoot a teammate, actually I shot him because he thought that standing in front of me while I was unloading my magazine was the brightest thing to do. After Mr. C-Stylez respawns he asks if my mom bought the game for me. He's mad so I play into it. I then procede to be called a F_GG_T (anyone want to guess the vowels?) for the next few minutes every few seconds or so.

Solution:
Hit eject, insert GT5, race against some Canadian guy who was one of the most polite people I've raced with in awhile.

I don't understand how people can be so angry so damn early in the morning.

The reasons a didnt buy black ops was because:
1. There is no purpose to the game other than shooting.
2. If you play online everyone will treat you like s**t
3. I heard the single player story is awful and the game depends on the foul mouthy multiplayer

Then again with FPS games there is always going to be angry children and 17 year olds who really shouldnt be playing or even be near such a violent game.

On GT5 or TDU 2 85% of the people online are quite friendly and arent foul mouthed.

So in conclusion if your playing COD go on a private lobby with your friends or just play a game with mostly nice people online.

It's FoGGeT isn't it?

When it comes to FPS, it's seemingly never too early in the day to be an angry, inpatient biggot 👍

The vowels are A and O I believe. I thought I'd join in with the people correcting you ;).

Back to topic, I don't play Black Ops because I don't play FPS games, but if I did I still wouldn't play it. The reason for this is I heard it is glitched, there are loads of cheaters and the multiplayer function does not work very well.

If I throw it in i'll just stick to Zombie mode or Campaign.

Guessing you're a COD BO addict. Thanks for the contribution to this thread.

Cool picture, bro 👍

Haven't even got the game, not even interested. I've had enough with online FPS after playing Unreal Tournament 3 online:indiff:

Try again:D

GT5 online is better? I'd say it's just as bad if not worse then that based on experiences I've had.

Online gaming with random people is always filled with idiots, no matter what the game is. I think Halo is the worse though. I just stick to playing the games with people I know or at least whom I've know for a while on forums and stuff.

I love this game but GT5 online is one of the most rage inducing experiences iv'e ever had.
Unless you have a few buddies and a good room your screwed!! Its like a bloody lucky dip with barely any info on anything other than the rooms country of origin :odd:.

And the fact that if the room doesn't suit and you leave, it takes you back to the home screen and you have to start from the beginning :grumpy: and its all just so so slow.

I don't play Black Oops becase . . . well . . . Its a C.O.D. game.

You play one . . . you've basically played them all.

Chances are you did something to annoy the guy which is why he blatantly stood in front of you while you were trying to shoot. What did you do? Block a door or through way? Took his shooting/sniping position?

Halo Reach is better anyway. :) COD's full of complete dicks on every platform. Reach isn't perfect obviously, but it is a lot better.

Holy crap, you discovered people on the Internet with VOICE CHAT. Someone, sound the alarm!

Honestly, Black Ops is just a bad game. Much like MW2, and most console FPS games in general. The best FPS communities are all on PC, mostly because of the servers and admins allowing control over who can be in the games. And banning.

Oh well. I played every COD on Xbox360 so far and I really like them. Sure, what's perfect these days ? But the online experience comes pretty close, even without dedicated servers. I stopped using voice chat with strangers a long time ago. In the beginning of XBL on 360 in 2005 there were less kids out there, but today I just use party chat with friends, actually I use Skype most of the time. Comes in handy in S&D by the way ;)

You were angry enough to shoot someone. ;)

Good point.:)

Side note: I didn't just discover voice chat, I just never used it as much as I do in GT5. I normally join a lobby and mute every s.o.b. In the room.

Side note 2: the weather was nice enough for me to forget all about it.

Excuse my language, but my friends and I hate it. That's why we call it "Carr of Doody: Black C__ks.

If you forgot about it, why did you make a thread about it?

Also *wahhh someone called me a f*g on the internet wahhh*

Way to go.

There's a mute option for a reason, use it. Or turn voice volume down to zero and never need to mute again. You can mute anyone, any time (other than the loading screen) during games on COD and have been able to for a long long time. If you're a fancy-pants with a gaming headset that allows independent control of game and chat audio you can shut that off to for any game and never need worry about random abuse again.

Problem solved, proceed to enjoy a solid FPS. Not the best in the world don't get me wrong I think it's over-rated, but there's a reason why the CODs have been so similar in feel and that's because they've nailed the controls down to a tea whilst the weapons and environments change around it.
