First off last year Miami beat FSU in the regular season, but in the final BCS rankings FSU was ahead of Miami due to strength of schedule, that is complete crap! FSU lost to Oklahoma, when at least Miami would have given Oklahoma a run for their money.

Secondly: This Season

11-1 Nebraska lost 62-36 to 10-2 or 9-2 Colorado.
Yes Colorado lost to Fresno State and got killed by Texas, BUTColorado won the Big XII Championship over Texas, who they killed. Oklahoma lost to Nebraska and Oklahoma State so they were not in the Big XII Championship game, Nebraska lost to Colorado so they werent in the Big XII Championship, the championships of conferences, Big XII, SEC is based on the teams conferance play during the season. Oregon a 10-1(11-1) team lost to then good Stanford, now 7-5. So because Nebraska had a better strength of schedule than Colorado and Oregon they are in the Rose Bowl, THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT!!! Colorado beat them 62-36 in Lincoln, I think. I think that the NCAA should throw out the BCS due to the computer's screw ups the last 2 years! Also, shouldnt a national championship contentor at least win their division??? Colorado won the Big XII and Oregon won the Pac-10, but did Nebraska win their division? NO, they didnt, Colorado did. I feel that Nebraska and Colorado should be thrown out of the title hunt and Oregon be put in the Rose Bowl.

I will extend on my unhappiness about the BCS more tomorrow.

i was just talking about this in the current events forum...

anyway, if the BCS want to give Miami a championship, I am all for it. Been a Miami fan since i was like 9, and will be stending there in less then a year. I wish Miami would face a challenge in the Rose Bowl though, I am scared people might not give Miami the credit they deserve. There are already people talking about how easy the season was for them, this is just gonna fuel that fire. I was hoping Tennesee would go againist them, or maybe Florida, but no, Miami will face a nonconference champion.

Anyway Go Miami!!! Its nice to see the orange and green in the spot light again!!!

I have loved Miami since I was 7 actually, when they won the national title in 1992, i think. But still I have heard people blaming a TCU guy for catching an interception and with that INT TCU beat Southern Miss so Nebraska's strength of schedule went up, and that is why they got in the Rose Bowl. You cannot blame another college's player for winning a game for his team. With that being said I cant see how any team's chances of a national title should/are based upon another team's performance. Like Standford, if they would have finished their season with 1-3 losses Oregon would be in the title game.

The NCAA should just throw the BCS computers out the window and go into a playoff system like in 1-AA and 1-AAA.

this is exactly why i love the BCS

GO HUSKERS BABY! anyway, Colorado isn't all that great! Oregon on the other hand is pretty good.

Do you feel threatened by the Huskers because you are a Miami fan, ah hahahahahahhaha!

the bcs makes sense on paper, but when you have a team that cant even win its conference and they play for the national championship i think there is a problem.

no doubt nebraska is a good team. they did not win their conference and until they prove they are the best in conference they should not be allowed to play for the championship.

another year...another argument for a playoff....

No I dont feel threatened, Miami is still gonna win. Dorsey is one of if not the best QB in College Football, Crouch is be stopped by the Miami secondary and NO Husker will get anywhere near Dorsey, Miami has the best Offensive Line possibly ever, and Shockey will kill the Husker secondary.

Like lav and myself have pointed, why should Nebraska be in the Rose Bowl if they didnt win their conferance? Another question, why isnt Maryland anywhere close to the top, they went 10-1 and won the ACC?

HUSKERS SUCK, CANES RULE

~cough~ who won the trophy~cough~

I do have my doubts though, Miami is a good team (obviously) but i do hope Nebraska wins.

Look at how great Colorado has become though, Texas had one of the best rushing defenses in the country and they got stomped on, as did Nebraska, Colorado-great team too late, Nebraska-had a bad game.
Miami-eh whatever :)

It will be a good game though!

again..

another year.... another reason for a playoff.....

if you cant win your division or conference......do you deserve to be 'champion'

just so everyone knows i dont care about college football and this kind of stuff is why. if it wasnt some bull**** voted activity err..... i mean 'sport' like gymnastics or diving maybe it would have more credibility.

although i will watch the game, it should be good, i dont care who wins.

The Heisman is supposed to go to the best player in college football, not the one that touches the ball on everyone down. Ricky Williams, and Charles Woodson were the last 2 Heisman winners who actually deserved it, quarterbacks do not deserve to win the Heisman unless they are actually the best player in the nation. Granted that Crouch is a great player he didnt deserve the Heisman, no quarterback should ever win the Heisman unless they are actually the best player in the nation. Nowadays there are so many great players who deserve the Heisman more than Crouch, look at Gaffney from Florida he is the best wide receiver in the NCAA and was he in the running, NO, only QB's were. When Desmond Howard won the Heisman, he was the best in the nation, he is probably the best punt/kick off returner ever in pro football and he deservingly won the Heisman.

he is the best player in the nation!

1,000 yards passing and rushing, he is versatile! He basically carried the Huskers to where they are and without him they wouldn't be as good as they were! He is basically the key part of the husker offense because the offense revolves around the quaterback, given he was a running back he could probably gain more yards than most rushers in the sport, you have seen him catch, just watch the UO this year and you will see that. He was the best player this year no doubt about it.
