Well lets see, there is nothing wrong with the site at all its just that I have been busy doing other things recently.
A couple of weeks back I had my 18th birthday party around here so I had to help organise that for a while because it turned out quite big. It had a dress theme, come as somthing that starts with C (because my name is Callum
) so that was a good night and now I am officially of age and can do everything I want! well go to pubs and clubs for a drink thats about it really, plus I've been using a 'modified' ID for the past few months so now I just dont get as nervous when I am at the door or buying some drinks. anyway Im moving off topic.
What I have been kept busy with in the last month or so is organising my future, as in what I want to next year after school. It started about a month and a half ago when I rang up the defence hotline and Inquired about a position in the Air Force. Whilst on the phone they made up a personal profile for me then told me that they were going to send me some paperwork. So sure enough a couple of days later a thick bunch of recruit forms and applications came through along with information about what life in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) is like, it still appealed to me so I filled out the papers then went in for an evaluation day.
Basically on the evaluation day they did all these tests on you, medical and educational etc, so I passed all of them with flying colours (they were relativly easy) then a list of jobs came up for me. They included an Aircraft technician which is what I wanted AND an officer position. I would never have thought that I would have passed well enough to become an officer. For now I went for the Aircraft technician which meant I had an interview with a senior defence recruiter in a couple of weeks time where he would ask me all sorts of questions about the RAAF. So there I was researching again preparing for an interview.
Around came the interview and the guy seemed very pleased with me and told me there and then that he would gladly take me on as an aircraft technician. TOO EASY.
so there you have it, by mid next year I will be moving over to NSW to do my technician training, but before I do that I must do the dreaded recruits course here in my hometown of Adelaide. I am very excited about this and by the time I am 21 years old I will be earning $58,000 a year which is more than enough for a young chap like me.
So there you go, sorry about dragging it out but I thought I would just write this up just to let you guys know about what I am doing with my life.
