Pros: When you wipe out in turn 1 because some idiot rams you from behind, you have the opportunity to catch up. It keeps racing close and fun but winning is all about the last turn sometimes. At least it allows you to race an unmodified car along side a tuned car.

Cons: The reckless drivers who usually brake late and ram you on turn 1 have the opportunity to catch up and do it repeatedly. Drivers from behind approach the leaders with insane speed and often try to make passes in bad places pushing everyone else off the track.

I wish there was a way to improve this behavior but I haven't a clue how to do it. Some days I love it and have lots of fun racing people. Other days I get utterly frustrated because I have to keep passing the same laggy poor drivers who are hell bent on putting me in the wall.

Simple race with people you know, I personally hate boost' it is by far to unrealistic

I have mixed views with using boost.

If I'm only racing my friends we tend to use boost to keep things close. We're all clean racers but some of us are quicker than the others so the boost allows us to have closer races with more over taking. This can lead to some exciting racing.

When I race unknowns though, I prefer to not be in rooms with boost. Usually the slower racers are the most dirty too, so I don't want them being able to ram me off when they magically catch up.

It also makes only the last half lap of any importance.
