Blademask here...
I just wanted to share an experience that I've had with GT5p recently, a very frustrating irritating experience that had me pissed off at myself, at my cats, at the world.
This experience is the Daytona Road Course with the Ford GT. Now I've been reading on forums about how retarded the Ford GT is to control, as well as the concept tuned car, but Initially I didn't have a problem with the vehicle. It actually handled a bit better than the Z06 in my opinion. I found it was true that you cant bother the throttle while turning, unless you want to put a whole lot of work into keeping the car on the road, and ruining your lap time. Yes it looks cool, but it burns you to the core to watch your ghost breeze by you.
My problem was that no matter what I did I could NOT get a decent time here. With the driving line on I found that I shaved a few nanoseconds off of my time, but nothing really important. I felt like I would be stuck at #22 in the world forever. Professional+G25/6spd. Until I found this video:

A driving instructor telling this guy in a Shelby GT500 how to take the course. I could really see all the mistakes I was making with over steering the vehicle. Not Oversteer, but me literally twisting/turning the wheel for a few turns that I didn't really need to do, this would result in wasted time. I heard the instructor say for a few turns "just turn and hold the wheel" this also was something i wasn't doing. Aiming for the "gators?" was another thing that i've abandoned since really GTR/GTR2 for some odd reason.
After about 4 more laps while checking back with the instructor I banged my #22 down to #11. I just love that I can translate throttle control/braking/steering direction from the real world into a game and have it produce better results. Really interesting feeling. I know a few places where I need to improve to initially. Just a fyi if you guys want to try the same.
Good racing!
