I have gt5, and i have a problem when i host a game and my friends try to join. They join, and then they leave, join and leave... at first i was like wtf guys? then they told me they kept getting disconnected.

This isn't a problem when we all join someone elses lobby, we all play together fine, or when i join their lobby. But when they join mine they get kicked.

So i tried running directly to the modem from my ps3, and they had no problems joining, then i did it through the router... they get kicked. It says i have NAT type 2, so what gives?

Have you tried restard the game, it may work

Guess where the problem is coming in?

You can't get better then NAT 2 on wireless. The issue you're actually having is router settings, look up a DMZ connection for a solution if you really need to run wireless.

If wired is an option though, do it.

I was using wifi before and I had so much trouble due to house setup.
Since my workmate fixed my internal wiring for me, cable straight through never have any problem.

Also you might just want to double check your sync rate and just make sure your speed is alright.
