Duke, I think your write-up is probably right on the money. Unlike what you did, I made some changes to the Audi before entering and thus never noticed some of the flaws you mentioned. That said however, I think that any car you pick will have some 'out of the box' weaknesses and all things considered the TT is a decent ride for a 4WD car.

Do the weight reductions, add suspension and a racing tranny and all your TT woes go away. I'm looking forward to comparing it to some of the other 1.8ish cars in my garage to see how it measures up.

ok, i finally creamed the race.

front torque to 30 (neonduke)
suspension 105mm
rear rebound 4 (i think)
front rebound 7 (i think)

worked pretty well.
thanks guys!

I remember watching a TOP GEAR show a few years ago where they (i think it was j. clarkson?) absolutely destroyed that car
I particularly deslike the interior of the car-its overdesigned and those leather stiches (?) suck :)

I don't remember Clarkson doing anything to the :audi: TT RUI? And as Top Gear gave it a *Choice* Coupe award :gldmedal: in the Mag I doubt he would?

I've seen him do those Speed shows with all those class Supercars...:burnout:

And he did destroy some of the worlds :earth: worst cars like the :skoda: Lada, Yugo, :chevy: Corvette (Oops am I in the bad books with the :USA: Guys now)? He did blow it up from a Helicopter

I found the secret to the TT (for my driving style anyway) was to give it just 15% front drive using a variable centre diff, take the power away from the front wheels and she's a different car! :D

Having driven two real TTs, both the 225Hp versions, I can assure you that they are actually quite quick and handle well - just dont lift off!

The TT does look nice, i must admit is does lack just a bit of performance, but if they actually made an engine size a tad bigger say a 5000cc engine then it should really go, a 1800cc i think kinda lacks power, still i have nothing against the car.

It is under steering??? And with very slow responses?? I had the same problems. The got my hands on richimoto’s settings and now I’m were happy. all thanx to him. ;)

I won my TT. Then I added all of the parts that I could. You were right on the money to turn off the traction control. I just learned that the other day. I am still not impressed, but it is a lot better with the TCS turned off.
Here are the settings I am currently running on my TT:
{416 HP after oil change, 81.4 miles, racing super slick tires)
spring rate: 10 11
ride height: 96 96
shock bound: 8 8
shock rebound: 9 9
camber angle: 6.6 4.4
toe angle: -0.5 0.0
------------------------------------
brake balance: 10 9
------------------------------------
Limited Slip
initial: 5 5
accel: 5 26
decel: 5 12
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
transmission
I: 2.573
II: 1.860
III: 1.420
IV: 1.174
V: 1.006
VI: .900
final: 3.800
Auto setting: 22
--------------------------------
ASM 0
TCS 0
VCD 40%

These settings gave me a complex string 1 lap time of: 5'10.393 @143MPH. However, the gear ratios were not good enough for complex string. The 143 top speed was because of the rev limiter. Work the gear ratios to squeeze more performance out of this one. It actually handled better than my Skyline GT-R VSpec II R34 though... I have only run this car to take out the Tourister trophies in beginner and amateur.
