Why is the 24hr Nurb Easier? Anyone Notice This

I always mess around doing the 24hr Nurb & Le Mans races, when I'm in the mood for stiff competition, with my Ford GT, ZR1, or my R35, It was always an extreme challenge to keep up without using a LMP; However, now I smoke them no effort, I can even use my N24 Schulze GTR, and kill the computor competition, NO Problem.. I hate to say it but, I think maybe an update made the drivers slower or match whatever car you are driving, does that seem right?? I hope not, thats so dissapointing if thats the case.. Anyone else notice, or have an opinion?? thanks, please reply if you have verified info..

Famine made a very interesting post a few months back, when in-race saves were first introduced. It was regarding a very similar issue to what you are experiencing. I'll try and dig it out for you.
