Retarded? ..Anyone know?

..I mean, on certain tracks if you bump them the right way they get stuck on the wall and never finish the race. What's with these new polyphony ai's?

(tracks that this can happen at)
Seattle Circuit
Seattle Circuit II
Rome Short II
Rome Circuit II
Laguna Seca
Cort De Zar (sorry if mispelled)
SStage R11
Superspeedway

Those are all the tracks that I've witnessed the ai cars being stuck on.

UH dude the the CPU AI does not wreck!!!And not finish the race thats on GT2.The CPU AI usely in a championship thell come back and wreck you sometime in a championship, spin you out, block you, etc.theres alot of stuff i know about CPU AI!!!!!!!!!

Im not recking them, I just bump them trying to pass and they get stuck on the pit wall barriers and dont go in reverse, and they do wreck a whole lot in my game, I will upload my sharkport replay file later.

They do wreck and dont know how to recover on almost all the tracks, the AI drivers are pretty stupid. :sonar:

On all the races I have done, NONE of them, the AI has not finished a lap, even if bumped by themselves, cuz I dont personally go directly to slap their behinds.

Heck, they are bad drivers and like to wreck YOU if you get into their line.
I thought the game was improved with smarter AI but cant see where they have improved. ;)
It is aggravating to have the lead and the second place car bump you out of a win. :(
Btw, Ive seen the ai cars wreck in the gt2 and gt3 games and that had nothing to do with my driving.
Hopefully the GT4 game will have actual intelligence for the ai cars. :D
Misnblu

When I find my sharkport disc I will upload this one replay from Laguna Seca, I didnt bump anyone and the second place car (ford mustang) spun out and messed up everyone else behind him, one of the funniest things I've seen..besides the mascot dude from michellin tires :p

I have seen a car stuck at the final corner of Cote 'D Azur. I have also had a rally car get stuck in the S curves of Tahiti Maze one time. That is all I can recall. Maybe an occasional Seattle stick, but it wasn't long before someone else rammed them :banghead:

Yeah ive seen them get stuck on there own, its pretty funny I think. Once I felt bad going by this skyline over and over and over again so I bumped him so he can continue, wasnt that nice of me??

i've witnessed a few of the AI drivers get stuck on walls. it was especially funny when it was a 787B that was kicking my ass...hehehe also the AI doesn't know how to handle high powered cars. they tend to spin out alot and drive into the dirt traps. pretty sad...

:reallyodd Are YOU retarded? The AI does wreck and not finish the race on gt3. They dont even come back and try to wreck you.

Geez - try racing the longer races at Laguna Seca!! The AI's off the track everywhere, especially at the corkscrew and that last corner!

That what I just got done doing. The Pennzoil was the car that spun everytime at those two turns. The Denso Supra and Loctite Skyline did it almost as much. Stupid AI.

Same here... just did that race last night. The NSX's are pretty good about not spinning out (unless I "accidentally" give them a bump :p ), but those Skylines and Supras are terrible about it; and of course, the Pennzoil was the worst. It's hilarious though when a car spins out at that last corner, then one of the other AI cars slams right into it, and they go off in opposite directions.

BTW, how in the world do they spin out there [at the last corner]? I mean, if I tried I could do it, but if I get into the sand I usually go straight.

I have never seen an AI car get stuck. I've seen them crash, backup and continue. Play it on Professional mode.

AI is fairly smart, lets see u try programming a game w/o flaws

They've done it there too.

I can tell you that on the pro Elise cup, the imbesile green elise always gets stuck at the very first chicane (after the tunnel)
also the Shelby Cobra is so funny at Laguna Seca... It spins out at the very first hairpin each and every time after the start !!!

In your case, seeing the cars getting stuck on the walls is not the fault of the Computer AI, but of the game itself. Nothing is perfect, and this applies to GT3 with the case of the stuck cars. In my view, when the cars SMACK themselves into a wall, a small glitch in the game makes a very small part of the car past the wall, farther than it's supposed to go, making it stuck in it's position of the collision. Theoretically, nothing is supposed to pass walls, one way or the other. And it can't free itself unless another force is acted upon it (e.g. you ramming it up the ass :D). Does that make sense?
