THE FD IS THE HARDEST CAR FOR ME TO DRIFT AND THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET IT TO DRIFT IS BY MAXING OUT THE HP WHICH I DONT LIKE TO DO , AND BY RUNNING SUPER-SOFT IN THE FRONT AND NORMAL ON THE BACK. IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS A GOOD ASS SETUP FOR ME TO USE FOR THAT CAR , IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. :grumpy:

My god... i'm confuzed?? THe Fd is a great car to drift stock in gt3 w/ sims, its got just the right amount of power. I'm curious to what technique ur trying that is making drifting a FD hard? dont tell me u think the s14 is hard to drift also??

hum.. don't be mean people... but out of curiosity... is ur car simply understeering instead of drifting? cuz when i used the s14 w/normal tires it drifted half-way decently... but when i used sims... dude, when i entered the corner, all it did was understeer... it only drifted after i nearly stopped and was accelerating again.. weird huh? =P

I got the same question. what is ur technique? you have to keep ur car balanced before the turn and then feint, or break, or use whatever to get the car to oversteer. If your weight is already shifted the wrong way you cant expect not to get understeer.

cars are less likely to drift if you put extra grip tyres on them ......... use the sims and practice

Uhh. The FD is actually one of the easiest to drift with.

Maybe you just suck?

hey idiot i can drift it im just lookin for a better setup and i bet i can out drift u with my chaser or my fc. i dont like to use sim tires cause you cant drift with the same kind of speed and control. :grumpy:

oooo this is going to get nasty..... hey man that kind of attitude isnt accepted in these threads...

No need to get into name calling guys. Chill alittle.

The FD likes to regain grip fast but, I have around 420hp on my FD , It loves to slide and I never have a problem with it regaining grip.

Well, the strange thing is, i bought a stock FD and put on sims yesterday.
I found out that i actually drift better than my other cars. I have more control.
Any other stock cars on sims that i can try on?
I.ve got nightmage's R34, Sheron's aero spec s15 and ryen's FC.
Lol, probably its becuz my skills are too sucky to be able to use those settings effectively :(

Hey, genius. Where in my post did I say you can't drift? Go read it again.

Really? You can "out drift" me? Whoop-de-doo. That would actually mean something if I cared.

does anyone else here think that if someone cant drift well w/ sims, they arent good at drifting?

Well, Gab, I'd check out this thead for the answer to that question.

Who cares about sim tires!

Anybody wanna challenge me?

Sure, but I'm not trying to get owned on my first challenge. So I'll hold of on that one for a while.

dont mix tires. get sims for front and back. i use around 400hp on the fd. works really well.

yeah, thats exactly what i do. the only thing you gotta remember is not to overtune your car aka too much camber, too low, etc. Don't tune to the extreme. The FD is pretty balanced when you get it stock (RZ=276HP) so you should be able to drift it with sims. But I wanted more extended drifts so I amped it up to 400HP and semi tunned (dont overtune) the FD.
