Why isn’t the VR Showroom available for users without VR?

I think the VR Showroom should be made available to everyone, without requiring PS VR.
It would be great if it could be used without PS VR, especially since Forza Motorsport already has Forzavista.
And if you remember, GT5 and GT6 had a Photo Mode that let us view cars in a similar way.
What does everyone think?

It’d be similar to Livery Editor. Just add more movement in cockpit view. I’m sure it could be done.
you can do something similar in race photo mode, but I don't know if the car model is as good as in VR Showroom, and you cannot "visit" the inside in 3D

I wished the VR showroom would be more like Forzavista. How cool would it be when you could open the doors or hood and trunk with the sense controllers. But they're not implemented at all, even they were available at the start of PSVR2. Also there should be more background scenes available to choose from. A lot of scapes got added to the game, but non for VR.

In my opinion you don't miss much, if you can't use the VR showroom. It's half-baked in my eyes, but not a big feature of the game anyways.

For the VR showroom you need a 360 scape, probably why we did not get more of those.

Not a big feature for me either, but it would have been nice to be able to use it without VR too, similarly to what you can do in race photo mode.

I guess it was made VR only simply to promote the PSVR2. Like Sony saying "Hey, we need a cool (but not essential) feature for ppl buying our VR set".
I would love to see it for all users also. Or at least get a better camera option when you're in cockpit view. You can look around but it's rather limited.

What about driving in VR as a "cool" feature 😅 I think it goes a very long way to promote PSVR2 compared to VR showroom.

Yeah, sure, but I guess they maybe wanted an extra feature. It's just a guess of course. There's no definite answer 'cause those who know won't tell.

Ya, you should be able to "fly" around the car with the same camera controls as replays and photo mode. I agree that it's not much of an added bonus that would push me to buy a VR headset. As a feature for all the car nuts though, oh ya, I'd love it.

Both true. Crazy how PD want to take advantage of photography in Scapes, but we can’t do that in VR. Yet, we can get all into cars in VR, but not in Scapes.

My biggest gripe is “where’s my body”.

But pretty much all VR games do this, so I’m sure there’s a reason for it.
