Doing the first 24 hour race, 22 and a half hours done. Pause the game to go have a smoke before I finish the race, I take like 2 step, and the ****ing power goes out. Are you ****ing joking me right now. Only needed to do another 1.5 hours and be done.

Yea the last update I have is 1.06, way before the save feature came out, but we are getting internet tomorrow. Then I can save my game, but it will be awhile before I try that race again. I didn't know we was getting internet before I started the race a few days ago. I can't believe that just happened. I can't even remember the last time the power went out here and it has to do it now. In all the power was out for maybe 5 mins.

But hey, try to chill. In no time you'll meet GT5 in a new fashion.
 
I'm not really mad, I just came back to GT5 since my skyrim lag on PS3, I quit playin awhile ago because I lost internet, its not the same once u can't play online anymore, but tomorrow that wil be fixed
 
Dude that sucks! I feel sorry for you honestly, dust yourself off and do it again! :p
 
i hear ya on painful endurance experiences, in GT4, i was racing around one track the Nürburgring 24 hour
it was the last lap and i was along the long straight part, and i was not doing well, i was only seconds infront of the other cars (i just was not racing well and well i wasnt the best with the basic controller either) well i sneezed, hard, like full body sneeze that came on before i realized it was going to happen - which caused me to hit the joystick causing me to slam into the wall, spin out, and be overtaken - ON THE LAST F&%*#G lap too!
needless to say, i never quite got the courage to do another endurance race again, ever, on GT4, just couldnt have a care in the world to even try
 
I had my PS2 on for almost a week doing the Le Mans 24 hour in GT4(i was attending school at the time). And with 2 hours to go one night, out of nowhere a sandstorm appears, no joke, before that time, i had never seen a sandstorm in my life. Needless to say the power went out. Let's say i never attenpted it ever again, and i just let B-spec do all the work.
 
Lol well its good to know this has happened to other people, I will try this race again, but not anytime soon. Ill pick a slower car next time, the GT One is a little too much car for the AI

i entered 4 hours race about 3 time i keep driving 2-3 hours straight , suddenly NO POWER .

Not trying to stray off topic...
I am really looking to get a battery backup surge protector, or UPS.
What size TV are you running Hawk? I want to make sure I buy one that has enough VA for my setup. I'm running just the PS3, G27, and 32" Samsung...
 
Haahah that's what you get for smoking. Also very funny that if you only waited till tomorrow you could of saved.
 
I feel your pain mate. It SUUCCCKKSS when that happens!! I had it happen to me in GT3 and I was doing the Tokyo R246 enduro 100 laps (which isn't a bad as yours) but power went out and I swear in was So close to Puncing my TV screen!!

I'm not to sure of the size,I think its between 25" and 30~

But its OLD and has a VCR built in,so if you have a new'ish tv,this should be More then enough :)


I'd totally recommend the one above~There's even a smaller model that would prolly do the job,But i went with this beast due to my Crappy tv LoL

Thanks, I'm thinking 650VA as well.

To the OP, So sorry man. As far as car choice I ran the Bentley Race car. I kept the car primarily stock, but had a real good tune. Also, I ran racing hard tires, but had racing softs at the ready just in case. It was a bit of a battle if I recall, but excellent fun. Good Luck!
 
Hey mate same thing happened to me. I was also close to finish the LM 24h, but power goes off. Ofcourse i was pissed, but a week later i gave it another try and finished (before the save progress in pits option came)
 
Our 6 week old kitten stepped on he power switch for my surge protector. Later in the day when i noticed it, I turned it back on and my PC is DEAD. This was back in July! I've swapped the power supply and other basic troubleshooting and it's dead, won't boot. The MB has domed capacitors, probably shot.

Can't get it fixed until Feb!
