I have seen many modifications to the steering wheel, pedals, gear and handbrake. And the only modification I can see the benefit of is the handbrake.
I have a Playseat wheelstand, and then I might not have the benefit of all modifications.
Have of course seen this, and is going to buy it https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/the-must-have-upgrade-for-any-logitech-g25-g27-owner.279149/

It would be nice if someone could tell me the pros and cons of modifications. Since I am wondering to make some modifications myself.

because G27 pedals suck
the reason why i sold my G27 for Fanatec wheels and pedals
no doubt G27 is great wheel but when you tried loadcell pedals you wont go back to the G27 pedals
so some guys planned to make some pedal mods
i ve seen one of these mods on ISR review and those guys were impressed by how it changed positively the feeling
it definitely worth it to mod G27 ;)

nothing wrong
loadcell technology is close to what you found in your own car
instead of pushing pedal at the end of travel, you needs to give the right amount of pressure for braking
it changes your way of braking and feels more natural

Well, it feels. The loadcells for a g27 can be stiff, and don't travel much. I found the GTeye to work great. The Nixim spring is as good I hear. and neither will set you back an quarter what a load cell will cost. I won't say that the GTeye feels exactly like a real brake, but it does a great job giving a far better feel. That and an ebrake are currently the only mods I have done. As far as my wheel goes, I am going to get brass decoder wheel to replace mine, feels like the stock one on mine has cracked. The only other mod I plan on doing is all to the shifter unit, and not the wheel. Things like new knob and maybe button box it up a bit. If you are racing GT6, then I suggest just getting the GTeye. If you are into PC sims, then upgrade how your wallet sees fit.

The G27 is a great wheel system! I still love it :)

The pedals are really good. On my home rig I went to a T500 wheel but kept my G27 pedals (I use the GTEye brake spring). I've tried load cells and built my own hydraulic brake, and for the cost only the GTEye comes close to the hydraulic.

I wanted a slightly larger rim on a G27, so I swapped that. It doesn't really make you faster, maybe a bit more consistent.

I spend a few days a month away from home and use a stock G27 with only the brake spring changed, and am just as fast on it :)
