Why No Motorcycles?!?

Has anyone ever heard a reason why they have never tried to put motorcycle division into a gran turismo game? I know this would be a huge undertaking but still thought that would be an awesome aspect that other racing games have not tried. Just some food for thought.
 
The reason is that Tourist Trophy was kind of a flop so PD never saw fit to make a sequel not to mention the physics involved in motorcycles is completely different from cars, so much so that it would require a whole seperate physics engine just to add a few bikes.

PGR4 did motorcycles in 2007.

But on a serious note. Motorcycles would probably require a new physics engine, new ai and a gameplay overhaul so it's not just as easy as to add new DLC cars, or making that black standard car interior.
 
Motorcycles are cool and all, but other than being motorized vehicles, they really don't have a place in Gran Turismo. Turist Trophy was ok and all, but I think PD needs to focus on cars.

I've often wondered this too. Also why are guns not in GT?
 
On the subject of guns, why doesn't PD just add all the British Army Vehicles Clarkson was against playing British Bulldogs. :lol:

You know a thread's going to end well when the memes get pulled out.

Asking why Polyphony do some things is a fruitless exercise. They're capable of making decisions that show astonishing thought processes, in both good ways and bad ways. We only know that they do them, not why.

As for bikes in Gran Turismo... That'll be Tourist Trophy - GT4's game engine but all the car assets are bikes instead.
