Im doing the liscence tests. I have all golds except for S-6. (The Viper at Leguna) My best time that I can manage is a 1.17.5XX. The time to beat is a 1.16.800. No way has it been possible to come even close to that. Ive logged about 24 total hours trying to beat this test. Ive given up and went on to S-7 and beat it within 8 tries, I went on to S-8 and beat it on my 3rd try.. Any tips on how to beat this horrible Viper. TCS on off? ASM on off? Ive tried all options. Please give me any information possible, Im exausted.:mad: :banghead:
 
Yes.. I hate S licence test. I beat all with bronze and im happy with that the viper and the last test was the hardest for me. Im still doing the last one but good luck with you and sorry i dont have any tips.

That could also mean lack of how to take corners. Obviously you have to be a bit lighter on the throttle comming out of corners in a hight powered FR car like the viper.

As for ASM, turn that crap off all it does is create understeer.

Are you using your ghost by any chance?
 
Nevermind... I finally did it!! That was by far the hardest liscence test out of them all. I beat it with ASM and TCS both on. And I was using my ghost. I came out with a 1.16.760 under a 1.16.800 time to beat. So now I have 100% and 48 Golds... Now what do I do? :odd:
 
You've registerd with the weekly series? OR how about a low powered car against the AI? Take a Toyota MR2 into the amateur MR races, and win by win, drop upgrades off your car. What's the lowest (money wise) you can go?

Congratulations on getting all golds, TS1AWD! I'm currently trying to get all golds too, but I haven't been very successful. It will take a while for me to get all golds if I keep on it.

Thank you! It took me a good side of a week of playing for a couple hours every night after I got home from work to get all of them. Its well worth it, the sence of accomplishment is worth it alone. Good luck to you!
 
I started working on all gold's yesterday and I've got all of B, A and IB done so far, just need to do IA-8 and I have all of IA. Then it's the Specials :/
 
talking of licence tests....do you think its possible to get golds with auto transmission...?

it may be possible on the rally stages...but what about on tarmac?
 
Yes it is, I got all golds including the Super licence using auto and a dual shock 2, I can't use manual with a pad but I drive weel with it when I'm using a wheel.
 
Some of the Lisences you really have to use an auto, you will get better times. I always use MT when playing GT3, so all of my golds are based of of that. The rally lisence with the Delta Integrale (sp) you have to use an AT. If you pay attention to the cars throttle possition and shifting points in the Demo, you can clearly hear that it is using an AT, I couldnt come close to that time in the MT, made the switch over to AT, and hit the Gold within a few tries. I also found it easier to use an AT during the oval lisences with the RX-7 and Corvette. I tried a couple tarmac ones with AT but found it hard with me, because I normally dont use AT, I kept breaking too much because I was normally more dependent on using downshifting as well
 
oh, i see...

i havent achieved all golds yet but i have about 60% gold...

in some licences that i cannot get i have tried both MT and AT....i still cant get higher that sliver tho'

this topic has inspired me to give it another go ...:)
 
Also try messing with your TCS and ASM. Also in the options you can turn them on or off. Some lisence tests I couldnt beat at normal options and than I would turn the ASM off to give me better turning, and It would help alot. You most likely wont need to mess with the TCS, but see what works with you.
