Why cant i keep the wheels and paint jobs i did??? WHY??

It is so frustrating to have to not be able to switch wheels/colors as i please. Im not even talking about having to possess the actual paint...but once you change the color of your car, your last paintjob is gone.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me want to hate GT5.

There is a huge disappointment list for GT5, but its mainly that I expected something beside GT4.5 HD, it all our fault, the customers are always WRONG in PDs opinion. What kinda crazy customer would want to paint as many cars what ever color they want, or expect a decent online offering, or damage, or quick easy menu, or be able to accept 5 reward cars in under 30 mins, dumb customers ( sarcasm )?
