Why Rig the Events?

So math lies? In the above pics the replay of the gold time run is achieving a higher speed down over a mile of straight track. I can assure you that if the car i am given to drive cannot achieve the same speed then it is indeed rigged!
I'm not sure if you believe that math does not lie but that is your choice.

I would keep practicing. I'm not as fast as the example car in that section either but I'm not two miles slower either....just 1 Km slower. I bet a driver more skilled than either of us could probably match or even exceed the speed of the example car through the straight.

By the way...are you using automatic transmission? I've heard that higher top speeds are possible with a manual transmission.

And don't get discouraged. The AMG event, especially the beginner stage, is rather difficult...

I had some weird issues in the rally events. I was using a super quick car in the intermediate races and was blowing away everyone, especially on the straights. On the first 'track' I had an 8 second lead going into the last corner. I took it carefully and blasted out into the final straight which was about 1km. When I crossed the line I found out I was dead last losing by about 7 seconds.

So in the space of one corner, which I didn't screw up, I went from an 8 second lead to a 7 second loss. It only ever happened in the first race of the intermediate rally. Weird.

That's not weird. Often the times of the car in front of you are not measured in the split times.. So if he's much faster than you, you won't see that. You'll only see that at the end.

Maybe you know it, but don't bounce off the rev limiter. You lose speed.
Ease the throttle a little 1-2 kp/h under the rev limited top speed and maintain.

That is if you reach the limtter, of course.

Are you using manual or auto set up? if your using an auto box that would explain it , with a manual you can squeeze a little more out of each gear.

@Leadpaint

I got the game early december and did the AMG special events (beginner) in the first 2 weeks. I golded this event with a 2:29.952.
(I don't remember if a patch was out yet)

On Feb 23rd I created my first alt account to start a new game from scratch. Yesterday I golded this event again with a 2:29.768.
(after 1.07 patch)

I have average driving skills. My guess is you should keep practicing before stating there is something wrong with this event.

EDIT: Got the game on Nov. 27th

What a complete pile of *"*¤%.
Stop dodging the topic.
can your cars drive faster than 220KM/h (136MPH) or not.

If not then OP just proved a point and you're all idiots.

Events are not rigged in the slightest. Your corner skills makes all the difference in times.

Yes I can. I reach 138Mph down the straight (dottinger hohe) and I reached 143Mph in the downhill section (antoniusbuche).

There is NOTHING wrong with this event...:) I achieved gold before and after 1.06.

I just tried this rigged event and managed to top at 220Kmh (136,73mph) in the straight, then after the bridge, 230Kmh (142,94mph) with the help of the downhill.

Golded with 2:27.931

Edit to add the video. Sounds god awful though.
