Why the Media sucks *dont start reading if you dont have much time*

Why the media sucks...
What a topic.

Basic Media Garbage:
Why is it that everyone needs to be thin, fit and look like pages of a book?
Why is it that they CAUSE people to starve them selves, and then talk about it like they have mental problems. If you werent drilling the fact that if your not thin your not "cool" that problem wouldnt exist.
The News... Why do you have to report on a story when you know NO facts. When that boiler exploded in NY (i guess some of you heard about that) First 2 hours were "Terrorists Blow Up Small Building" then the next day "Fumes cause explosion in basment of building" Well witch one, morons. Dont talk unless you can atleast prove some backup rather then some "home-boy" on the street that has nothing better to say then "YO MAN IT WAS MAD CRAZY IT WAS ALL BOOM AND WE RAN LIKE SHIZNIT DOG B HEY YO DOG AM I ON TV?"

Yesterday I was watching MTV2, and the video of Papa Roach- Last Resort came on. I watched it and noticed they censord the words: Bleeding, Suicide, and Die, other then the curses.
Could some one please tell me why? Will some one commit suicide if you dont censore those words or something? Free Speech anyone?

Its one of the funniest things ever when a salesperson has to sell something that they know NOTHING about.

The other day I was watchin an Infomercial where a lady was sellin a Dell- "This has a blazing fast Intell Pentium 4 processor so you can download those files *snaps fingers* like that! It also comes with a 56k Modem"

Well... what can I say (yes she really said that)
Also a great line from one: "No One Does Windows Like Microsoft"

Is it me or do some advertising pros need some education?

TV shows:

Did anyone notice that the sets of commercials before/in the middle/after the end are actually long then the entire show?

Why is it that "reality" shows are so popular? You need to see people stuck on an island for a few months and try not to die? Go throw yourself on a raft like Elian and see how long you can live, and if you make it maybe you can find a Dime or so on the shore.

But seriously, dont people have lives? Rather then watching other people complain about what other people think of eachother, GO OUT and complain about your own friends or whatever.

:lol: Ive seen that one. I was like :confused: :confused: What the hell?? "Stupid" i said.
 
A processor doesn't speed up a download, yes it may be better than a slow processor, while the file is downloading it will save the file quicker than the older processor, but it doesn't speed up downloading the modem does and plus how big was the file she downloaded? 0.0000000000000000000000001 bits?

The media sucks because it's run by liberals (which I am, but it gets old) 'xcept for Fox News Channel.
 
Some say it's run by conservatives, or at least owned by them. I'm conservative myself. What's interesting is that if you keep with stereotypes, a conservative owned paper that seems liberal is not surprising if you consider the supposed greed of conservativism; profit over ideology.

Who knows? I watched Survivor for about 2 episodes b4 I got sick of it and was ready to barf at the low depth and the low morals of the show... good grief... Plus, I question the "reality" of those shows... honestly, those people probably only have to occasionally eat wild animals. Plus, take it from me- those shelters and the kind of conditions that they are staying in are absolute paradise compared to what I often encounter on a WEEKEND BACKPACKING TRIP! WTF is wrong with these people!!!!????

Lives? What the •••• is a life? Never heard of it... :)

Seriously though, Americans don't have lives. Americans would rather switch on the d•••ed TV than go outside and... err... smell the smog... um, I meant take a jog or go ride their bike. We have evolved into lazy slothes who would rather watch old ladies selling dishwashing soap than go out and see the world.

Err...no. You have liberals and conservatives mixed up, my friend. Liberals would want LESS censorship, whereas conservatives would want more.
 
Anyone who says liberals DON'T run the media is simply wrong; like I said, except for Fox News Channel (And U.S. News And World Report, started as a religious-affiliate):

MSNBC, NBC, CNN, CNN Headline News, Newsweek, Cable-Satellite Public Access Network (C-SPAN), ABC, CBS, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and many local stations / channels (our own Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News are examples) are ALL examples of the MEDIA controlled by the liberals. As it always has been.
 
For God's sake, Ted Turner owns all those 24-hour news channels (CNN, CNN HN) (plus TBS and AMC, but they aren't opinion-driven), and he's so far left, he's probably the unabomber's buddy.
 
conservatives want more censorship? sure, if you go and cite guys all into the bible that don't think a woman's knees should be seen in public, or whatever they believe, but i've never heard of large protests in colleges over liberal views. you may also notice that some left wing protestors think insults are a violation of free speech.

Reality TV shows seriously replaced soap operas. They are the same, just during prime time, and having a more diverse audience. (not much though) So, soapopera = reality tv = crap.
