Why wasn't the Signature Edition available in the US?

I have theories but I don't want to get moderated for posting them...

Maybe Jordan can ask that in the post-release Q & A...

Either way, now I'm going to have to cheat for the sixth Chromeline car and the other four Stealth cars... WHY? I don't even know if there are cheat devices that will work with the PS3... I ask again WHY?

Is it not clear what I'm saying?... The forty-eight(48) United States of America (USA) usually gets new releases of games/hardware/lots of other stuff relatively earlier than other nations on the planet Earth
 
It's not in the U.S. because of the "Win a Mercedes Benz" thing associated with the Signature Edition. Mercedes U.S. side was prolly not to keen on the idea...therefore, it's not available here. Only a contest for those lucky enough. Errgrghhhhh!! :)
 
Wow.. you guys get NASCAR, you get heaps of other American cars, tracks and you're still not happy? Are you serious? Get over it, you've got more in that game than Australia and New Zealand combined but do you see us complaining? Nope.

Also you're getting the game first before anyone else in the world. So quit ya moanin'.
 
yeap. prolly coz of the competition prize.

You also hve to remember that its a japanese game, and sony is also japanese, you should be happy to even get the game :P

personally though, i dont know how many signature editions they've made, but its prolly thousands... and that reduces your chance of winning anyways

imagine if the whole of US should get this too? :o even lower win chance.

they could also release the signature edition in US without the competition but then people would just complain about that... even though i see TONS and tons and tons of competitions on various american webpages i surf on daily, and all competitions i ever see are "us residents only" ect. :<

nice to get something for us here in the EU for once.

eventually they could add the special cars in DLC though... but theres also an audi R10 and well, varies a bit from store to store as far as ive seen
 
I agree most comments here , Europe and AU,NZ , UK very often get dampened collectors editions of games dead rising 2 is a prime example , the US version got a art book , Zombrex notepad and loads of little goodies, what did everyone else get a Zombrex pen.

it is only fair that we get something more this time.

In terms of the DLC cars i expect eventually the Cromeline kit will be put on PSN but i doubt the stealth will be. GT PSP is a perfect example , they released most of the pre-order cars on PSN but some were missing, namely the Bugatti Veyron.

Also - USA got pretty much most of the public demos. Europe and UK got a handful (correct me if I'm wrong) as did Asia.

No actually they missed allot of current American cars and I sea alot of people complaning

Just for common knowledge, I don't think anyone in america has recieved or is playing gt5 yet. Besides I thought it was the 'poms' that whinged the most :)

This coming from a 'pom' living in 'seppoland'👍
 
Because US drivers are terrible, that's the only reason I can think of.

It could be because of sales.

I know that in the UK and Japan the sales have always been extremely high,while in the US they have always been low.

Maybe this is the reason?
