It's a friday afternoon, and this guy just got off work. He gets into his brand new BMW, and can't wait to get home. Realizing he's in his $70,000 BMW, he thinks to himself, "This is a fast car, I might as well treat it as one", so he starts to haul ass home.
As he's speeding down the highway, enjoying his car, he notices flashing lights in his rearview, and suddenly starts to panic. "Damn! I can out run the cops, after all, this car is fast as hell!" So without a further thought, he punches it.
A few moments pass, and he panics again. Thinking that this could cost him his license and a whole mess of trouble, and he would no longer be able to enjoy his precious car, he thinks better of it and pulls over.
The perturbed cop gets out of his car, goes up to the guys window and says to him, "Listen, you were going mighty fast, but it's Friday afternoon, my shift is almost done, and to save me the hassle of more paperwork, I'll tell ya what... if you can give me a good excuse for why you were going so fast, one that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."
So the guy thinks for a minute, then says, "Well officer, my wife ran away with a cop last week, and I thought you were trying to give her back."
The Officer quickly replied, "Okay, have a good weekend."
