Why would SLS AMG causes game to hang?

This is an odd issue. Whenever I go into the dealership to buy an SLS AMG, the image of the car does not appear, and if I select purchase, the game freezes. I logged into another PSN account (my GTP account), where I already have an SLS AMG, and when I tried to use it, I also had a game hang (though the picture was there). Might this be a problem with the game saves, the game data, or the disk? This doesn't happen every time. I am sometimes able to use the car, but I'd say it hangs 50-70% of the time, and it seems to happen only with this car.
 
I would try these myself.
Clear the cache in the options menu.
Make sure your disc has no smudges or scratches.
If you installed the data to make the game load faster I would try deleting that in options and just streaming from the disc to see if it helped then maybe reinstall...
 
I had an issue with this, but with the GTI V, and the first instinct was to check the disc. Had it cleaned thoroughly and it was no longer an issue.
 
👍 thanks guys. I cleaned the disc last night and it seemed to work. Much better news than a corrupted save.
