Widget Racing Strategy

In anticipation of the new version of the widget which will allow the ability to prefer to race some drivers, never race others, and randomly race the rest, I came to the conclusion the best way to race will be this way:

1. On my main GT5 account, I have 6 drivers ready for racing. I prefer them all to be used all the time since I will never use this account to host a race, so others who use my strategy will always be able use all of my drivers (and in return, the same for them from me).

2. I have a second GT5 account with just ONE driver that is completely cool (P.Newman). This will ensure that they drop places the most consistently to maximize profit for the other drivers. Since there is only 1 driver, the current widget will never use this driver (unless someone sets it to leave 0). With the new version, this account should be set at ignored.

If my group of friends, (or at least one of them actively remote racing at any given time) uses this method as well, then we all would make more money and we can keep a smaller friends list.

Anyone see any flaws with this or ways to improve upon it?

I get why you're doing it. It makes sense to an extent...

But it sucks for people who have jobs, and simply cannot remote race on a regular schedule.

Most of my RR friends have been racing my bobs pretty well. When RR first came out, I had tons of time and raced their chaps all day as well (I even kept a tally to be sure I was keeping pace), but then life happens.

Now it seems that most of the newer posts on this forum are people forming groups that simply remote race all the time, and as such... most of the people who can not race all the time are left in the dust.

I'm not a socialist, just bear in mind that some people have pressing issues above GT5 and as such, may not "make the cut" when the cut is made, but otherwise have good intentions.

This has nothing to do with having a job or not. This is for using the widget, which requires no manual input other than the initial setup. I remote race while I sleep and while I work which is something someone with a job and a computer could do.

That is just how it goes to people who are working without access!

If they have access at home, then whats the problem? I run the widget for 3 other people who don't have access during the day to a computer, so there's no excuse there, either.

Good points. I won't remote at night or more than 5 races at a time because I need to check the UCD for car collecting. Thats where the widget gets in my way.

Except with the widget running on my alt account, my main account never ages unless I actually run a race myself on it... Lots of experienced drivers at an early age.
