Oh, of course! I just might change my mind if the one I was considering for sponsorship had such a charming screenname! ;)

I dont know if somone has covered what sponsorship is...but anyway here is what I have been told.

Sponsorship is usually for some type of "team" as,racing, paintballing, ect. The company sponsoring gives the team funding for somthing to do with their sport, such as fuel, parts, and tires. In return you (the team) promote the sponsor, such as putting stickers on your car, painting your helmet, T-Shirts, Graphics, and when you win, you throw that sponsor "tag" in there. Thus the company would get more sales.
Yesterday i got a sponsor for the fuel for my 'kart. :)

That is true. But you'd be surprised how many people think that sponsors will pay you to get started in the project you want to do: in otherwords, if I wanted to race my car I would get a sponsor to pay for the parts and I would smile and put their stickers on.

Actually, you have to do it yourself first, and after you're pretty good at it and have made a little progress, then a sponsor will help you go further. But you have to start out on your own.

yea i forgot  to put that in mine. First you have to get good , companies(am i spelling this correctly?) dont want to be seen on cars that do terrible. Say your a kart racer, but you suck :scared: your not gonna get hotwheels to sponsor you if you finish in the back, most idiots think they can travel down to some parrt shop and get a sponsor, Somthimes you even have to right a resume' (i know the ' has to be over the e but it wont work! ) I have been in karting for 5 years and in my 5th i got a sponsor, well now actully 2. But im still olny 13 and have a long way to go, I prolly wont have the same sponsors when i go into latemodels, but i hope i will get a letter of recomdation(sp?) form my former sponsor. :)

whoa for some reason im writing alot today
