Does this happen to anyone else?? Whenever Im using my headset for anything on live, the microphone is like ALWAYS active. And its not because Im playing the game too loud or breathing into it or anything, it can be dead silent in the room and its still always active. I have to mute it all the time so it will cut off.

I thought the headset was broken, so I bought one of those nice plantronics ones. Nope, same deal. I thought maybe it was somthing in the controller, so I tried a different controller. Nope, same deal. Does anybody know why this could be happening?

Mine does that alot also. I don't know why...I was thinking it was the headset also but I tried 2 different ones and they were both doing it. Maybe a defective mic port in the controller or radio interference somehow. Either that or possibly it's my rear home theatre speakers causing mild feedback since they are rather near my couch.

BTW, haven't seen you around for like years dude. If you have PGR3 and wanna do some racing send me a friend request.

yeah i dont know what the deal is, ive tried different controllers, different headsets, always get the same thing. my rear speakers are close to my couch too, but like ive said ive made the room dead silent but my mic icon still always stays lit in rooms and stuff like im talking.

And yeah, I haven't been too active around here since the GT3 days! Good to see you're still around. Of course I have pgr3 :) (check out my photo thread in this forum) I'll send you a friend request next time im on

A few things:

- Pull the microphone further away from your mouth by either bending the plastic (it is bendable) or moving it further below your mouth. You want it to be about an inch away from your pie hole....

- Turn down your television, back further away from it, turn down the headset, etc. I find that is a problem with most folks on Live, and it is a pretty easy fix...
