Not sure what to make of this as it's surely one of the wierdest styled cars I've ever seen... 1st thing I did was check my calendar just to make sure the date hadn't mysteriously changed to April 1st... but it hasn't so it must be real.

From caradvice.au, and featured at this weeks Geneva Motorshow...

The Geneva motor show has played host to the global debut of a new model from former Australian luxury car builder, Bufori

Developed under the code name “Bufori MKVI”, the new car was presented with its official title – the Bufori Geneva – named after the city it was launced in.

Brothers Anthony, George and Gerry Khouri, who together founded the company, made the long trek all the way to Geneva with their latest model to stand up and be noticed on the world stage.

“We have decided to name this new Bufori model after the city it was launched in, as this occasion marks an important milestone in our company history. We also wanted to pay tribute to the 80th edition of this fantastic motor show and the beautiful city of Geneva,” says Chairman and Co-Founder, Anthony Khouri.

Despite having moved its operations to Malaysia, the Bufori Geneva remains as Australia’s own take on the ultra-luxury automobile, combining classic design elements with modern technology such as integrated bi-xenon headlamps and LED rear lights.

It is powered by a 6.1-litre hemi V8 engine which produces peak power of 320kW and 586Nm, with power sent to the rear wheels via an adaptive automatic transmission and limited slip differential.

Gerry Khouri, Managing Director and Co-Founder of BUFORI said “This new model marks an important milestone in the company’s history. This new model, introduces the first of a new generation of BUFORI vehicles. We have been developing this new model for close to 2 years and are proud of our achievements.”

Bufori estimates that its Geneva model will accelerate from zero to 100km/h in less than six seconds and on to a top speed of more than 260km/h.

An optional supercharger package is also available which boosts peak power to more than 417kW and 690Nm.

Inside, the Bufori Geneva has been built to be equally luxurious as any Rolls-Royce or Bentley, even offering a fine tea set with instant boiling water and sink, an Espresso coffee maker or even an ice box.

A state-of-the-art and comprehensive multimedia system provides high-definition surround sound and a choice of up to three touch screen monitors scattered throughtout the cabin.

Its bespoke, semi-monocoque body has been made from a unique hybrid carbon fibre and kevlar material infused with vinylester resin, which offers superior strength while still being lightweight.

The Bufori Geneva is not short on technology either, featuring ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Traction Control, Steering Angle Control and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Each example of the Bufori Geneva is individually hand-crafted for each owner, taking more than 6,000 hours to complete at the manufacturing facility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Production will start in June 2010, offered to customers in key markets such as Europe, Asia, Middle East and eventually North America.

Not sure what happened to the Bufori mkI, II, III, IV and V, but I can't believe they could look any worse than this monstrocity... surely there's no one on earth who would actually pay money for this?

Oh my god. *FACEPALM*

As someone who watched the original Mk1 prototypes get built here in Sydney, I can only say that this is a 🤬 abortion of the highest caliber and should be killed with fire on sight!!

*sigh* Bufori, could've been the best thing Australia offered in the auto industry, but alas....that seems that it will never come to fruition.

It could be worse. It is based upon a Chrysler 300C, (I'm farily sure, from hearing about the engine and looking at the roofline) after all, so it could also have 28x6" "RIHUMS" and "Lambo" doors...

Or, It could be a Zimmer. Which adds three feet to the wheelbase of a Mustang or Town Car, and has an even worse-looking integration.

The nose on this one could use a little cleanup, (either make the grille surround stainless or round the whole thing back,) but it's not horrid.

No, that (Lambo doors & rims) would actually improve it Jim, it's that bad that any ridiculous mods will actually work in it's favour.

That Bufori thing would look immeasurably better if they sorted out the grille. As it is, it looks like a cheap kit car. Okay, so it still wouldn't be pretty, but it'd be better.

It's pretty much on-par with some of Mitsuoka's efforts.

No, if it was Chinese it would look terrible while looking exactly like something sold by some other company...

This thing is a step above those just because it is 'original' at least.

It looks like a cross between the Morgan Areo 8 and Rolls-Royce Phantom, an very bad cross.

I see the Rolls and Morgan cross. I think it could be saved with a redesigned grille. I'm thinking making it a little more like the Prowler or something. The rest isn't horrid, its just old fashioned and out of place. Morgans pull it off just fine (for good reason). This is one of those cars just trying to stand out like many of the tuner supercars (see Enzo Stormtrooper thread).

Aside from the grill and headlights I think it looks good.

The large grill is probably needed to keep the Hemi cooled. It would look alot better with a PT Cruiser typre grill (swept back) and bigger, round single headlights.

It wouldn't look so bad with a new front and rear end.

Seems the whole neo-classic genre ( Zimmer, Excalibur, etc. ) isn't dead after all, although this "creation" shouldn't have seen the light of day in my opinion.
About it not being able to sell, you'd be surprised i'm afraid what some people are willing to shell out for.....( hence the succes of the Cayenne ).

Fashion comes and goes, bad taste will always be there.;)

I actually quite like it. I mean obviously the grille is dreadful (I believe we had a similar thing around our gas fire when I was 3), but I'm finding the rest of it strangely alluring.

♫ Cruella DeVille... Cruella DeVille...

I like that rather a lot. Change the grille, and we're in business, assuming they haven't done something terrible to the rear.
