I've just got a Wii as an early birthday present with Red Steel. :dopey:

My problem now is that I would like to buy a few more games but don't know which ones. :indiff:

I have always liked shooters and racing games, and don't want to buy a game
that I'm not going to enjoy. Zelda looks ok and one or two others.

Could anyone help and give any recommendations?
Also what would you rate the games you recommend?

If you're in Europe, Mario Striker Charged
If you're in North America, Super Paper Mario
In either, Madden, Trauma Center, and ZELDA. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ZELDA.

I've also heard good things about The Godfather but haven't played it myself.

What he said.

Sonic and Rayman are good rentals as well.

Excite Truck is fun but shallow. If you liked the previous 3D Sonic games, Sonic and the Secret Rings is good. Metal Slug Anthology is great if you like that series. Warioware is really fun but also really shallow (rental!). I've heard some good things about Heatseeker.

Stay far, far away from GT Pro Series and Call of Duty 3.

That is an insult to Secret Rings.
Secret Rings is at least as buggy and frustrating as the previous games, if not moreso. Getting pissed off when Sonic inexplicably screws himself over is just a staple of the 3D part of the series.

I'll toss in Metroid Prime Corruption when it comes out in August I believe. And Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Thanx guys. 👍

I think Zelda will be a strong possibility.
Mario Striker Charged looks fun from various trailers I've seen. :dopey:
I've never really liked Sonic so I will need some convincing with this one.

@ wolfe - Whats wrong with Call of Duty 3? I love the first two on PS2.

Because it is pretty much the worse version of the game. The Wii controls do nothing for it at all. They aren't a hindrance, but you might as well just buy the game on the PS2.

I agree that it's the worst version of the game, but I wouldn't say the controls do nothing, as they were actually the best part, IMO. Running and gunning worked rather well.

The problems are the below-PSP-quality graphics, endlessly looping dialogue, and flawed Shenmue-style "action" sequences that were fiendishly exhausting to do correctly.

It's just a bad, bad port that happens to occassionally make decent use of the Wiimote and Nunchuck.

Just spent most of the night on Wii Sports with a few friends.

I never realised how something so simple could be so addictive and so much fun in multiplayer. :dopey:

@ Wolfe & Toronado - Thanx guys. I think I'll give that one a miss. 👍

Mario Party 8 isn't bad if you have a brother or sister. If you're a single child, i wouldn't really recommend it.

super mario galaxy is good
super smash bros is also good
rock band is good if you dont have a 360 or ps3 if you have either one of those buy it for that console.
also try metroid
