I really don't feel like using a capture card to record GT5 gameplay. You can get the replay as a game save but do you think anybody could or would make a converter for that? If so i would really love the download. Thanks
A GT5 replay is the equivalent of sheet music. GT5 uses the instructions present to recreate the race in real time just like a composer uses the sheet music to recreate the song.I really don't feel like using a capture card to record GT5 gameplay. Thecla246It's impossible. Only if they make on live recorder or YouTube uploader integrated, would you be able to store footage on your PC.
Nothing is impossible.
The software to turn a GT5 replay file into a video that you can record already exists. It's called GT5. It's also the only software capable of reading such a file.
I think I remember you saying the exact same thing on a thread similar to this one months agoBut yes, you're right. However, maybe a Jailbroken PS3 could be enough to hijack GT5's core files, more specifically, the files that reads the replay files. But that's just a mere infer.

The problem with integrated Youtube upload capability is the usual low quality video as well as being able to only upload short segment of a replay. Most people just don't have the bandwidth especially for uploading and unless PS3 is enabled to do a more advanced method of video uploading, similar to Youtube Java uploader, then there's no point really.
The best option is for PD and Sony to come up with XMB video converter which is totally doable. All you need to do is transfer the converted file, avi. for example, to your USB stick and do the editing and transfer (to Youtube) on your mac or PC.
