Will Arcade mode be useful in Gran Turismo Sport?

I'm planning to play Arcade mode a lot, so is there any use to it? Will there be a way to earn "Mi", Credits and change the rules? I don't wanna be penalized for being rammed by the soul-less AI that Gran Turismo seems to always have.

You can earn credits in Arcade Mode yes.

You can earn credits but there is no information about how the level of credits earned relates to the game economy as a whole. It would not surprise me at all if it was quite insignificant.

I very much doubt that skill/safety rating will be affected by offline/arcade racing. People would exploit that to cause havok online and then repent their sins against the AI.

We know you can earn credits and create custom races but we don't know what can be set.

AI looks decently fast in vids but it's hard to judge if they can offer a challenge to a moderately quick player.

One cool thing they added in GTS is AI moving to the side (while turning the blinker on) if the player behind them is much faster so at least that suggests that they spent some time on it.
