Will B-Spec Bob Ever Be Competitive?

There have been a few threads about the early stages of B-Spec driving but has anyone managed to get to a stage where their B-Spec driver is even remotely competitive in a car that is similar/on par with the AI cars?

All the talk seems to be about giving him an overpowered car but I'd like to think that eventually after dealing with all the terrible driving he will eventually become reliable.

Any comment from people who have gotten their driver to a higher level?

It will take time. Surprisingly I got a pretty decent driver. I still have to get him a better car but not by much, for example: The Vitz race, best AI is 138hp, I gave him a 150hp car and he won by a few seconds.
