So I recently visited a friend's house and tried iRacing for the first time. I originally wrote it off as something for people who were way more serious about sim racing than me, but I actually ended up having a lot of fun with it. I am seriously considering buying it, however I'd have to take quite a plunge. I have a Mid-2010 13 inch MacBook Pro. So I'd need to pony up some cash for not only a wheel and the subscription, but a copy of Windows 7 as well. If I'm going to be spending that much, I figured I should find out if my computer can handle it.

Specs:

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

Unfortunately I am not rocking one of those brand-new MBPs with Intel's Quad Core :grumpy:

So has anyone here tried running iRacing on a similar Mac, or even a PC with similar specs? How does it run? Will it even run? Thanks for the help :)

Your graphics card lacks meat, it will likely run the game decently but you will have to turn down all of the graphics settings to low(est).

Thanks. As you probably could tell I don't game much on PC. I spend most of my time on consoles. I wasn't expecting it to run flawlessly at full detail. If I could just get a consistent framerate and decent graphical quality, I''d be happy.
