There are many similar or even identical body cars with slightly different performance statistics that just have one of the cars as a premium.
Honda Integra's, NSX's, Mazda RX-7's to name but a few. Not confined to just Japanese cars there are several others like Lotus.
Why if the body shell is identical are these not premiums to, could make a note that the interior is from XXXX years model if it varies.
These cars would then for all intents & purposes be premiums.
There are also a few with very minor body changes, just the wing or headlights.
These I would have thought would be fairly quick to do a premium body for as only the differences would need tweaking to premium standards.
