will save files from disc version work on digital?

My disc copy of Gran Turismo 6 no longer works. ;__; I wanted to buy the digital version instead and I was wondering if I can do that and have my save file still work? Or would I need to start all over again?

Yayay! Thank you so much for confirming this for me. I was so stressed about losing all of my progress, and really didn't want to deal with a disc version again.

Can a PS4 version just magically exist already?

Just make a backup on a flash drive every time...
Due to some problems I had to re-install GT6 from scratch yesterday. Took over 7 hrs to install the game and all updates and then I had to start from zero. But my backup gave me all my progress again.
If you ever do that, make sure you synchronise your trophies online, before proceeding (that is, if you care about keeping them).
