I was looking in this months EDGE and there's a game coming out on 360 in November called Race Pro.

It's made by SIMBIN, the guys who made GTR & GTR2 on PC. Also GTR was supposed to be remade for 360 and released last spring, but never happened. It wasn't cancelled, just never came out, I think this may well be the same game, but renamed! :D

I have scanned in the preview from EDGE, converted it to PDF and uploaded it here (16.32 MB file).

Roll on November!! :D:D

I still think Forza 2 is one of the best sims I have ever played on a console. Race Pro is looking pretty good.

Forza 2 is by no means a better sim than GT5p or even GT4.

When I took out the F40 on Suzuka in Forza 2, then did the same in GT5p Forza 2 just felt wrong and the tyres never seems to loose grip, even if I planted the foot half way round a corner in 1st or 2nd gear.

The Forza 2 vs GT4 debate has been beat to death a million times. You have your opinion I have mine. I prefer Forza 2. Besides GT4 didnt even have online.
With that said I am keeping an eye on Race Pro. The videos I have seen havent shown much so I dont know what to expect from it yet.

What does that have to do with how good a sim it is?!?!

Forza may well be good, but its no sim! There's a difference between a game that is good, and a game that is a sim.

Gears of War is a great game....but its not a sim!

There will never be a great sim on the console in my opinion, they will always be on the PC. The GT series is good but there are still flaws, much like the Forza series.

And? PC's aren't restricted by hardware and input devices like a console is.

My point was that SIMBIN specialise in sims, and nothing else. The 360 hardware is more than capable of handling the stuff you get from current PC sims.

No PC sim pushes the hardware to the max (like Crysis did). As for being restriced with input devices that is a bit of a problem.

If M$ would just let people use the Logitech wheels (mainly G25) with the 360 it would be much better.

Still, the controller is better than a mouse & keyboard for racing games IMO, but obviously no-where near as good as a wheel.

The M$ wheel is quite poor IMO, which doesn't really help either.

I think the 360 and PS3 have hardware that is way above the recommended hardware for any sim. People are running those sims quite happily on single-core processors and less-than-average video cards. I for one would welcome more simulation race games on the consoles, right now there is not much choice. :(

Well, most races online with GT5P have 12 players or less, despite the fact that it supports 16. ;)
