I just wanted to ask the question, in gt4, does anyone know if the domestic cars are actually gonna sound domestic, unlike the domestics in GT3? like the camaro, corvette, and cobra all sound like imports! and yes, i do have my setup hooked up to a nice system, a 100 watt/ch receiver, with (so far) 2 speakers and a sub, and still the cars sound bad, so does anyone know if the sound is gonna be improved???

The car sounds, from what I heard, will be much improved from GT3. They should all sound different rather than all of them just a Buzzing sound..

Domestic depends on where you are from. last I checked this isn't a North American only forum. So the answer would be no since none of the cars will sound exactly like the real thing.

judging by the fact that he said corvette etc i would say USDM. I really hope they improve sounds because they really sucked in GT3.

yeah, i have the bass up and everything, but no rumble, hope they put that in gt4 :)

I'm sure they will try their best, since the are going to put classic muscle cars in the game, they MUST get the engine sounds right.

From what I've seen/heard, PD has it's own team of sound engineer's that are recording the sound's of each vehicle. I'm sure they'll compress the sound file's, but it should be alot more realistic then before.

hopefully they arent just recording at a standstill either...

Wasnt there a pic of them recording the exhaust of a 'cuda? maybe not:confused:

but yeah, the only car that i can think of in gt3 that actually sounds like a v8 at idle is the panoz esperante or whatever.

not only does the engine noise need improvement but the tires never squeal, it would be nice to hear the tires chirp after each shift etc etc...

If you want realistic sounds, you're also going to have a good sound system. There's no point in dissing the sound if your drivers can't handle the base.

yeah, i got a good system, that can take more than enough bass, but the sound effects just need improving, hopefully sounds such as the tires screeching will also be improved other then just repetative sound effect...

yea the sound in GT3 was crap regardless of your sound system, i have high def surround sound and a massive sub and it still sounds like ****.
