Will there be another update?

I know there will be an update in the spring, but will there be any before then? You know, like to update races and power points, or are we stuck with these until then?! This may be a stupid question but I thought that usually they updated every two weeks or so.
 
Autumn update. Prob in October. Who knows. PD is very Mysterious
 
PD said that some things that should of been included in the recent update will be included in an imminent firmware update from Sony, so my guess is that we will get another update that coincides with the firmware update before Autumn.
 
I don't know if they are going to change the online events anytime soon, if not I think im done with SONY and PD. I m fed up with only one PRO event all the time( I know there are 3, but sorry 2 of em don't really count)! I fear it will be like this in the full game, too. I mean a Prologue is to show things to come, right? There are 12 tracks in the game, why can't we drive them all online then, no reason, just beeing cheeky???
 
But surely the reason they limit the number of events is to speed up the player matching? If there was a choice of 10 PRO events, I'll bet you'd be waiting 15 minutes for each race to fill up!
 
Im sure this would be the official answer, but I wouldn't buy it. :)
There used to be more events (like 40+) and there was more than only one crowded and you didn't have to wait too long.
Also what stopped them to update regularly like... weekly?
If this is the Prologue, omg chances are its gonna be worse in GT5 ...:nervous:
They just don't care methinks, they know lots of fanboys gonna buy their game regardless of the rubbish online *sigh*

Dude when GT5 is out there won't be controlled rooms like this , there will be user created rooms ...ect so you won't be limited with these options . I think now they have a controlled environment for testing purposes and trying to get consistent data to analyze .

No your not being cheeky at all, PD need to get there stuff up to date with the times, we need open lobbies with options ie, voice chat, lock car classes, lock to car, lock to points index, team events (eg- red vs blue) selectable tracks.
I know this is PD first effort online but come on ingame chat and open lobbies have been around for 8years or more on consoles get up to scratch guys, non of what i listed is ground braking or revolutionary and is the most basic of online options, the ground braking stuff should be saved for GT5full.
Keep us interested PD!
 
I'm starving for at least a date for the update too, but really, we haven't even got to the autumn months yet :) My money's on october too, with notification in september or something like that
 
Hi guys, yeah you guys are really hanging out for something new, why don't you try joiing up to some Online Drifters and do some online drifting. If you join up with some pretty good drifters, its even pretty cool to just follow them and watch.;)

The online so far (mind you game is out for 8 months already) can only be described as EPIC FAIL!
I only know one other game with similar rubbish online : NFS:ProStreet :boggled:
 
The only thing I want right now is the ability to create private games where I can invite my friends and clean-racers. Anything else should be secondary.

Forza, on the XBOX (not 360 mind you), had that ability and the ability to talk to your fellow racers... and damage... and it had a shorter development. The online element is not just a joke... it should be an embarrassment to the development team.

Agreed.
 
I'll be happy with one major track and a dozen race car, plus more online options.

There needs to be a significant update before Christmas if PD intend to spend so much time completing the final game, especially with 360 competition hotting up.
 
Well tehy better do something because im not playing it again after that update does anyone else think they've made it worse? Before it was bumper to bumper now its a crash fest what a waste of my time back to call of duty for a while.

I think it's much better, but the online selection is not so nice.
