I want to trade (gift) a car to someone , before i gift the car , i copy the save data and save it on a flash drive , after that i go ahead and gift the car , delete old save data and load the copied save from my flash drive

Does this method work ?

No need to delete save data. Just overwrite it with your backup data.

Just keep in mind that you can't gift a car that costs 1 mil credits or more...
 
You can also gift car tickets like Level 23 or 1000-mile tickets.
 
Before sending anything I suggest you check the Blacklist V1.07 thread, it contains all cars that cant be traded after the 1.000.000 cr cap limit. Also, while you have backed up, you can send more items at once exept for cars. For example, you can send a car and 5 paints, and 5 racing parts and suits and helmets etc. 👍
