Ok.. So I have this RX7 that sounds like the 787B. Now that hybrids performance advantages are gone I am not afraid to whip this thing out in public racing lobbies. My only problem is it already had weight reductions done to it.... And its too light to race it at the spec I need it for

My question is....

Can I send the car to someone who has one of those restore car tickets that removes miles and so on? Those tickets remove weight reductions and stuff like that correct?

Also, if I sent it to someone who had just backed up their game save, they could restore my car and then send it back reload their data and not have wasted a ticket on me right?

If all of this is correct and anyone is willing to do this for me I would be eternally grateful for life. And you could have the RX7 that sounds like the 787B if you weren't lucky enough to snag one yet. That you can now use online without worry.

Nope. Bug in the text. It says it does, but all it really does is restore the chassis and engine condition back to new. All you upgrades and tuning remain untouched.

I've done it many times.
 
I don't think we are talking about the same ticket.

I forget exactly what its called but people got like 5 or 10 of them for buying a certain DLC. I know it removed mileage, and I swore it got rid of engine and weight stages also.. Even chassis stiffening.

After using this ticket you had to break the car in again....

Edit- I believe you are right actually now that I think about it more..... Anyone that can confirm?

The refresh/restore ticket only resets mileage and changes. It doesn't remove upgrades - PD managed to screw up this by saying it will remove the parts, but has another pop up saying it won't.
 
I made a topic complaining about this when it was released. Really misleading text. There is no way, NO WAY to remove weight reductions, chassis reinforcement or other permanent upgrades despite what the ticket says. Sorry bud. Cheesed me off good when I used my ticket and the upgrades were not removed.
 
Sadly the advice given by the previous posters is correct. The "magic" restoration ticket does not restore the car to showroom as you'd expect. NA engine upgrades and any weight reductions will remain.
