Winamp 5

Well, if you like to dig around the internet like me, you should already know that Winamp 5 is in development. You're probably thinking: 2, 3, 5.....hang on, where's 4? Winamp 2 + Winamp 3 = Winamp 5. Sounds like a crap idea to me, but that is the plan.

If you want to know more, just do a simple Google search for "Winamp 5". You'll get more than enough results.

Finally, there is even a leaked alpha version out there. Now, Alpha means pre-beta development, so alpha versions are a shoe-in to have a ton of bugs. Just thought I tell you. Oh, the download link...almost forgot. Here is where you can find it. Be quick though, it probably won't be long before Nullsoft requests it be taken down.

Sounds interesting. I just hope that Winamp 5 won't crash every time I use it like Winamp 3 does.

i never jumped on the V3 bandwagon....winamp 2.X all the way....except for its crappy shuffle. I hope winamp 5 is nice

Hopefully, it'll have the features of Winamp 3 with the functionality of Winamp 2.9. That would absolutely rock!

for some reason that leek doesnt seam real, it seams like someone just hax0red winamp 2.95 to say some stuff, and the versionhistory just says

i just wish 5 will have better shuffle, like u can decide what to play next with out changing the order u added the song, it would also help if it could rip songs....
