No. In fact, Winamp 5.06 was released just yesterday. And there's even an article on Winamp itself saying they weren't axed.

I'll go ahead and get this out of the way: No we weren't axed. We haven't even seen anyone with an axe. There was this one guy who came up to us to axe us a question, but that's about it. Much like Tupac Shakur and/or Jesus Christ, our deaths have been greatly exaggerated...

  • Fixed crashbug when clearing the playlist and then right clicking on the songticker
  • Security bug fixes
  • Lots of small bugfixes
  • JTFE v0.96ff

I don't even use Winamp so I don't know why I'm posting this. :sick:

Good, I love WinAMP, although this is the first I've heard of it. Glad they aren't dead, it's my favourite Audio program.

I second that.. From what I can see, 5.0.6 doesn't really add anything new, but it's the latest build, so I guess it'll have to do....

I forgot to post the changelog. :indiff: It includes an updated version of JTFE (I wish Foobar had that :grumpy:), but other than that it's mostly bug fixes.

Thanks mate !.... Guess the bugfixes are for the hardcore users - I've never had any trouble with 5.0.5 👍

Yeah, I saw this yesterday too. It's not really dead, but it doesn't matter, foobar2000 and WMP 10 are a great combo. 👍
 
Yeah, I saw it a couple days ago, but I didn't get it since there aren't many changes.
