No, this isn't a question about installing MS Windows on the Playstation 3. It's more literal than that. This is a thread to discuss/mention/rant about games features or PS3 experiences which have almost brought your PS3 into contact with the nearest window...

I reckon most PS3 owners, like myself, have been mostly very happy with the console, and most of the games/demos I've played on it so far. But like any games console, occasionally a title comes out that has a higher rate of 'angrying up the blood' than normal...

So far, the game World Snooker Championship 2007 (full game) and the PES2008 demo have brought my PS3 nearer to taking a head-long three-storey plunge than anything else...

What about you?

You´re totally right about the PES2008, biggest disapointment I've had, and really stupidly frustrating.

Also, my blood went boiling on some Resistance online matches, where it seemed the game was rigged by some players...

No more situations that I can remember, as I only have 2 games; Resistance and CoD4. And thwe demos (aparts PES2008) so far I've liked them all.

But in any case, it was more like the controller was going through the TV screen, not so much the PS3 itself. :D

Lemmings, but I believe that is the point of that game.

Out of the games I enjoy though are Super Stardust HD and Cash! Guns! Chaos! I am average at the dual stick games, but I love them. It is just that as an average player I cannot get nearly as far along in them as I see others getting.

Then in Motorstorm after a certain point in the single player mode the AI cars become more focused on destroying your car than winning the race and it becomes a 16 vs. 1 demolition derby. I seem to be the only person with this opinion though. But after a car actually turned around and then boosted into me head on I suddenly realize how a wireless controller means projectile weapon.

And then the level in Resistance where you have to kill like 20 Gray Jacks had me furious.

Hence the reason why I never downloaded that one, I've seen my share of busted keyboards and mouses due to that game, back in "the good ol' days". Took a lot of therapy to move along with my life...

Don't even get me started with that.

Nothing really pissed me off yet, but I was disappointed with Uncharted. Shoot a guy six to seven times with an AK47, and he does not die, and can still move like he's on a 1980 taping of 'Soul Train.' Lame.

I was hoping it would be a 'MGS' type game. A game that's a simulation as much as much as possible while still being fun, with a movie-like quality to the experience. Nope.

My wife tried playing it one day and she looked like she had been traumatized.

Don't even get me started with that.
I'm glad I'm not alone on that. I think what got me really mad was the lack of a save point just after it and so after getting through it once I died about 30 secionds later and had to do it all over again.

No you're not!

Exactly and that's why I started to hate MotorStorm.

Hmmm...

* PES 2008 FOR REAL!!! That game is a big old joke, and the reason that I will never buy another footy game that Conami... sorry, Konami may release.

* Bluetooth connectivity sucks too. Its still a ball ache to sort out.

* Campers on R:FOM AND CoD4! Never liked the talentless willy smokers!

* The realisation that console games will regularly need patches, when before they never did... :odd:

* sqeeky voiced 11 year old's owning your ass time and time again!

Well so far the only game ive really played enough to actually get me narked is RR7.

But I've found quite a few games more than frustrating in the first five minutes and since have not played. Warhawk been one of said titles and also Uncharted demo too.

CoD4 - Campers (if you're scared to fight, don't), 'proners' on grassy maps (you're stepping on their genitalia and still don't notice them), Juggers (they just won't die, the bastards), guys with UAV Jammers (I'll never feel safe again even if the UAV tells me so), guys with grenade launchers (even if they are caught off guard, they kill you with one tap of the R1), guys walking around with RPG's (seriously, happened to me at least 3 times, they're running with them like they're on the school yard, we meet up-close and they fire the thing in you're face, killing themselves in the process)... Did I mention campers and Juggers already?...

Oh, and guys that have their headsets always on, and you're forced to listen to static, conversations across their room/house or dogs barking throughout the match.

KIDS SCREAMING for daddy's attention drives me up a wall. Or guys talking like their all gang bangers using strong language to sound more intimidating because their kill to death ratios stink.

I'm probably in the minority here, but . . . any driving game that mandates the use of R2 for gas and L2 for brake/reverse without the ability to change the button configuration. I don't care how delightfully sensitive the new triggers are. I don't want to drive with them or the 'sticks'.

D-Pad and X/Square for life! At least Polyphony allow you to customize every button. I mean, how difficult is something like that to code . . . really?!

I'm with you. Don't know why Sony developers have adopted the Xbox standard for driving games. I do, however, prefer the use of the analog sticks for throttle, brake, and steering.

I'll agree with that. And it should only take one headshot to kill, not three. Still a kick-ass game, though.

New CoD4 unwanted commentary to add; girlfriend overheard stupidly questioning right after her BF goes on a domination map P90 rampage, "do the other guys ever shoot?" Clamp your 🤬 pie hole hooker, just 'cause he's giving the game more attention than you doesn't mean I need hear your spectatin' lip

Sorry, sorry. I feel much better now and sincerely do not mean any of that angry stuff I just typed :D

I've not played many games on the PS3 to be frustrated over, to be honest. The usual reasons I get frustrated about online on other consoles is the lag you get if the host isn't from UK/Europe. Because I always went on Warhawk's dedicated servers I never got this, so it was very rare I complained about any "BS" happening (yes, I tend shout that at the screen on the 360...). Same for R:FOM, I never had any particular issues with it.

Motorstorm is a firm favourite of mine, well particularly one race, most of the time its fine but one buggy only race on Mesa is just so irritating, every car will finish in the first 2 seconds. Meaning fighting through to the lead is impossible, and you can never pull away from the hunting pack for more then 10 seconds.

Strange, I did great on that race :P

1 words: Toy Home...Annoying controls, annoying music, annoying walls...:P

From,
Chris.

Edit:Sorry for the revive, I just noticed that I was on page 2...

The GO! sports games are crap. The worst reviewed PS3 title to date is Champion Sprint. Don't intend on trying it though.;)

Yeah, I didn't mind that it took a few more shots than necessary for the body shots, but when you run out of ammo while taking on fifteen guys or something while dodging shotgun blasts, snipers, and grenades...Died a few times there. I much preferred using a pistol when I had adequate cover and only a few men to take down. Later on the guys with helmets and body armor were a bit annoying to take down regardless of the gun (sans sniper, desert eagle).

I'm really disappointed that the PS3 - and all other consoles - have such poor anti-aliasing, if they have it at all.
