I run Windows ME and only have 100 something fonts. I went to use an editing program and it was unable to load because of one of my fonts.

My friend had me give him my flashdrive and he loaded windows xp's font folder onto my flash drive and said it would most likely solve the problem. My question is, how do i get that folder to exchange with my other fonts folder?

I already tried highlighting the folder on my flashdrive, going to "copy to folder" and then putting it into my windows folder. It started working on that, but came to a problem when Arial was in use ( i dont know by what ) and it aborted the process. Would it be smart to delete my fonts folder, then load the other one from my flashdrive?

Keep your fonts folder, just ry dragging and dropping the new ones in and checking them out

btw, why are you running a 7 year old OS? This is the year 2007

Because my computers ghetto like that, lol jk. It used to be the family computer and was given to me. since then i have upgraded the memory to the max of 512 mb of RAM to make it bearable.

We don't have too much money and i don't have a job so i dont have the money to upgrade to xp. I would like to upgrade other things but upgrading anymore, would be completely useless anyways, because sooner or later, im just going to get a new pc or my dads hp once he gets a new comp.

the file that the program is having trouble with is MS Sans Serif 8. should i just rename or delete that file then?

It's the base system font, try changing that in display using some other font you download from the internet (right click on desktop---->properties---->Appearance--->advanced, then everywhere it says font, change to the one you downloaded.) then do this delete stuff.

Chris.
