I have a problem.
I have spyware so I have been acquiring all sorts of antispyware programs.
Any MSI files I run bring up an error.
Error reads:
The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.
Now, I downloaded the updates Installer and guess what, it's an MSI file. Not EXE. Help appreciated.
I'm going to restart into safe mode and scan with AdAware though.
EDIT: Typed the error message into Google.
Turns out it just needed to be re registered. Go Windows Defender!
