Hi everybody, I've got a toshiba laptopo with win xp media center sp3, the windows live messenger installed and never worked. As i click on it nothin appear on screen..but if i check the process running is there, and the more i click to open the messenger the more msnmsgr process i have....the version 7.5 works still but i'd like to upgrade. I've searched but havent found a solution. i think i'll have to stay with the version 7.5.
thanks everybody

System Restore.

i'll stay with the msn vers 7.5 for while. now i cant format and reinstall everything :( due to time restrictions....im planning to install the vista tho....but i've got a problem there as well wich is the partitioning. i have only 1 partition in for 1 OS win xp. i'd like to go for the 2 partition 2 OS but resizing and partitioning my only primary partition makes me scared....i'm afraid this will corrupt the first part of the disk where the master boot files are....or smthing or kind of problem like that...
thanks for the suggestion
cheers mate

I used to have this exact problem, where Live would take upwards of 20 minutes to start.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what the "cure" was. Do you have the latest version of WLM installed? If not, update.

System Restore isn't a format or anything. It 'basically' just resets your settings. You won't lose any programs. Though if you want to be super-safe you can move all your stuff into My Documents folder before doing it.
