So I have no idea how this has happened, but Window Security Center won't start and come to find out, I somehow don't have it (despite having it work earlier in the year). I've looked around, but have seen no help for this issue.

Edit: Ok, now I have an issue with Mcafee Security Suite. Not sure how to explain it so again, here's a video:

Someone (or something) must have removed it.

Run a registry clean from CCleaner to see if there are any remnants left, then install Avast Free.

Also your thread title is more of a general statement!

Well because I appear to be the only person (probably in the world as usual) to have this problem, I'm not sure what else to refer to it as.

Edit: Just downloaded the program and its open. Now where do I go to do the "Registry clean"?

Edit 2: nevermind, found it. Can't see any remnants of it

So it has been fully uninstalled, rather than just the files being deleted.

That can only happen if someone runs the uninstaller.

It looks like it's not just you who had this problem.

I found this thread on Microsoft TechNet Social, which apparently comes up with this solution:
I realize this topic is a bit old, but the following solution worked for my Win7 client experiencing this issue after being infected with a fake AV. Essentially the virus/malware blows out the wscsvc registry entry. If you export it from a working W7 machine and import/merge it to your registry, you should get the Security Center service back upon restart.

Start-->Run...

Type: regedit and hit enter

Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\wscsvc

If you don't see that key, then you have a similar issue to mine. Just import the wscsvc registry entry as described below.

I realize this is probably too late for the OP, but it may help someone down the road.

Hmm interesting.

I had a similar issue in that WSC just wouldn't run. Never did find out why in the end the only way I could sort it out was to un-install, re-download and install again.

Also ran numerous AV/Malware programs and my PC came up clean every time.

Holy crap. Ironically, I just found a similar blog, describing that this happens because of it being removed by a Virus. Haven't had one since the one everyone had with the fake FBI screen months ago. That might have been what removed it. Just found that registry, imported and am now about to try it out. Wish me luck.

Edit: It worked 👍
went to "Services" to see if it appeared and sure enough, there it was. I immediately set it to "Automatic" and now its on. Takes a lot guys 👍

Shaun, here's a link to the page for downloading the registry here in case you still have the problem. Double-click "Wscsvc(64)" and download it.

Extract file, then double click and click "Yes" when prompted then restart.

Update: So I have another issue but this time with my program's firewall. First post has been updated with video showing the issue.

Try going into the security center and see what's listed as firewall 👍. You can try McAfee's Virtual Technician as well, as it tells if there may be a problem. I've used it and it works flawlessly 👍.

Just used it. Had to reboot, but it worked great 👍

Well, all my issues have been solved, thanks for the help.
