Hi Folks,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a winning car and pit strategy to win gold in this race?

So far I've tried numerous cars, FXX 07, Veyron, Enzo 2, Mclaren 94, etc.

I've come on 2nd but can't seem to come in 1st.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Light car and not stopping is the ... well it was ... the way to do it.

The Little LCC Rocket on the best tyres will let you thrash about with no need to stop for fresh tyres or more fuel
The KTM and the Suzuki GSX-R4 should be "Too easy"

Many thanks, appreciate the tips.

The Super Licence "20 miles of Willow Springs" in A-Spec mode - I Hope
8 laps with fuel use and tyre wear.
Small engines will tend to let you go with out needing a stop - a Big Fat powerful engine will tend to get a thirst for more.
Tyres are down to the weight of the car and the way you treat them. If you lean on them in the long right handed corners they can dramatically fail on you in the final lap of a stint.

I had a go today in the Infiniti GT Vision car - That car eats tyres! (Left rear - The Usual Suspect) And running off track is amazingly funny if your tyres are down to the carcass.

I. Bought the LCC Rocket and won gold the first time. I raced it B-spec, but will go back and race again with A-spec. No need to stop for fuel the entire 8 laps. Slick!!

Just had fun myself
VW "Nardo" W12 - Fitted Sporty Softs - and went fast aiming for a stop for tyres and a drink at the end of 4 laps - but still had to manage the left rear.
I passed the Leader Before I had to pit And then Passed him again before he did his pit stop - won by 23 seconds.
Once you know the track well and your car you can really have fun and rack up the Kazulas.
Take it easy for the Right handers - the Left handers you can be a bit more aggressive, as your tyres should have the tread depth to survive.

Ferrari FXX '07 is my second fastest after the Rocket - It's quite easy to win with that one too. Try it again - I'm sure you will make it! :) (PS - don't change tires b4 lap 4 completed - so stay a little easy on the tire-wear...)
